PPP can provide an opportunity for much safer investments than brokerage accounts tolerated by most investors. PPP is conducted only between banks and can provide for high-yield returns that result from the trade of banking instruments.
PPP is an excellent way to fund projects such as resort, real estate development, mining, energy, infrastructure, and especially humanitarian projects. The funds required for very large-scale projects are easier to achieve through PPP than traditional lending markets.
Traditional thinking on development projects is to raise “seed capital” and build out a first phase, to then attract more money. But when money doesn’t come for a next phase the developer is left stalled in the middle of the project. When seed capital is utilized to raise more capital for the project, the amount required to fund all phases to completion, this appears to be a much more rational model for funding – especially when we remember that the only debt created is the seed capital itself.
